I have been praying that our former foreign exchange student who is like a daughter to us, would find a Christian to encourage when she returned to Netherlands. I was given a web site to go to for the churches of Christ after I asked several people, but when I used the e-mail address for the nearest preacher in her area, the e-mail bounced back. I tried others, but didn't get a response either...was getting discouraged.

Our "daughter" who lived SO far away was seeking God and had questions and I was only able to offer a little support from this distance, what she really needed was a church nearby to offer her encouragement. I was invited to be a part of this group and I was hesitant at first because I am a busy person and didn't want to take the time to do one more on-line thing (just got involved in facebook which was already very time consuming)...but I remembered her and decided to give it a try to find a contact person for this precious soul who needed to feel she wasn't alone in her desire to know God.

I put in a request for help in finding a church, and was pleased to get a few responses within a day. One of them was for the preacher I had originally tried to reach but had the wrong e-mail address for, I was thrilled to finally be able to get an e-mail back from him and give him her address. I wrote to her and told her about the church and she said she'd be in touch with him, it's an answer to prayer!
